Our planet is seen as an enigmatic mosaic made of dynamic pieces. Ten female scientists will unravel some key pieces connected by the Earth’s magnetic field.

Director Biography - Katia Jasbinschek Pinheiro
Katia Jasbinschek Pinheiro is Brazilian. She has a bachelor in Oceanography from State University of Rio de Janeiro, Master in Geophysics from the National Observatory, PhD in Geomagnetism from ETH-Zurich (Switzerland) and post-doctorate from the University of Nantes (LPG-Nantes). She is researcher at the National Observatory and responsible for Brazilian magnetic observatories. She is coordinator of the MOSAIC (Magnetic Observatories And Integrated researCh) research group and is currently working at GFZ-Potsdam. Katia has a special interest in science communication projects. She currently develops the homepage: www.observatoriosmagneticos.com and produces scientific outreach videos.
