“Phi Ta Haak”, a local belief and tradition that is related to rice cultivation, is practiced among people in Ku Ka Sing, Roi Et province. The documentary portrays people’s belief and ritual in worshipping spirits that guard over the land, the soil, and the lives of people and show the benefits to the soil ecosystem.

Director’s Biography: Thanawat Talsuk
Thanawat is a journalist. He has experienced in creative content producing focusing on marginalized people. His works have been screened in various competitions in Thailand including the 2022 Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival. He's also a member of the Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) Youth program organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (Thailand).
